Marie, Becky G - Coming Your Way
by Michaël Brun · 2023 · kompa, dancehall · 2:41 · Haitian Creole, French
Michaël Brun brings Anne-Marie and Becky G together on "Coming Your Way," a 2023 single moving directly from Haitian production into international pop. The catalog tags kompa and dancehall, two rhythms Brun often places beside electronic music and R&B. Its two minutes and forty-one seconds are tightly compressed; each voice enters quickly and lets the refrain work. The English title travels easily, while the rhythmic engine retains the Port-au-Prince producer's Caribbean imprint.
