Sauce
by Naïka · 2021 · chanson, pop · 2:12 · Haitian Creole, French
Two minutes twelve. Sauce is an identity statement in miniature: Naïka puts attitude, rhythm and vocal precision in front and leaves no time for anything else. The form suits her because she is an artist formed between places — Miami, the Caribbean, the South Pacific, Africa, France, the United States — where a short track that explains nothing says more about how she hears herself than a song that took time to describe it. The video went up in April 2021 on her channel.
