Naïka

pop, rnb, afro-caribbean

Naïka, the stage name of Victoria Naika Richard, is a singer-songwriter born in Miami to a mother with Haitian roots. Her official site presents her as an artist shaped between the Caribbean, South Pacific, Africa, France, and the United States; she identifies as a 'Third Culture Kid', someone formed between cultures rather than inside only one.

Naïka's sound blends pop, R&B, soul, afro-Caribbean color, French, English, and Haitian Creole. Early projects such as Lost in Paradïse Pt. 1, Lost in Paradïse Pt. 2, and TRANSITIONS built a world where 'Sauce', '1+1', '6:45', 'H2O', 'Guava', and 'M&M's for Breakfast' travel internationally without losing Caribbean warmth. She uses multiple languages to turn songs into stories about identity, desire, movement, and the search for an emotional home.

In 2025-2026, the ECLESIA chapter made the Haitian connection even more visible. 'Welcome To Eclesia', 'Blessings', 'Bloom', 'Matador', 'One Track Mind', 'Gade Chérie', and the Jessie Reyez remix place Naïka in a lane beyond generic global pop: diaspora pop where kompa, Creole memory, cinematic imagery, and multicultural womanhood share the same frame.

Naïka matters because she shows another way Haitian music can appear in the world. She does not always use classic HMI forms, but the Haitian roots remain present in language, rhythm, voice, and her attention to community, education, and identity. Haiti enters her global pop as living memory, not decoration.
