This “Kanaval” entry preserves a RAM performance from the 2009 season, published by Emmanuel V that same year. It runs beyond seven and a half minutes, enough for drums, vaksen horns, guitar, bass, and the band’s roots-rock energy to establish motion that does not separate festival from ceremony. RAM made Hotel Oloffson a major Port-au-Prince music site, with Richard and Lunise Morse centering a sound that foregrounded Vodou rhythm rather than using it as decoration.
