Rara is processional music: it travels, it does not finish where it began, and it has no reason to be short. This Rara Banbou remix respects that. Seven and a half minutes is an extension rather than a compression, and the bamboo stays at the centre throughout. RAM have been building this language since 1990 at the Hotel Oloffson, where Richard A. Morse and Lunise Morse brought traditional rhythm and dance into a band form. It went up on 4 March 2014, in carnival season, which is where this music comes from.
