Sorry To My Ex
by Roody Roodboy · 2023 · kompa, dancehall · 3:42 · Haitian Creole, English
An apology addressed to a former partner is a hard position to sing without turning either soft or defensive, and Sorry To My Ex avoids both. Roody Roodboy looks back in a calmer tone without giving up pop energy, and three minutes forty-two is enough for an acknowledgement before it becomes a plea. It went up in August 2023 on a VEVO channel, and the English title and the distribution say the same thing: this record is aimed past a single market.
