Fè Kòmsi feat. MacD
by Vanessa Désiré · 2023 · kompa, rnb, rap-kreyol · 4:13 · Haitian Creole, French
On "Fè Kòmsi," Vanessa Désiré shares the track with MacD and brings together three parts of her musical path: kompa, R&B, and Kreyol rap. That combination follows her growth from Digicel Stars contestant to a singer with increasing control over her own subjects. The 2023 single runs beyond four minutes, so its sung and rapped sections do not have to compete for space. The Creole title, about acting as if something were not so, gives their exchange a clear tension.
