Dlo dous is fresh water — the opposite of salt, the kind you can actually drink. Zafem take that softness seriously rather than sentimentally: the song does not rush, the harmonies are given room to breathe, and love is written in a grown colour with no urgency to prove itself. Across more than five minutes, Dener Céide's playing and Réginald Cangé's phrasing keep handing the line back and forth without either one crowding the other. It is the clearest demonstration of what the two of them are actually for.
