Dyaman Nan Bidonvil
by Zafem · 2023 · kompa, twoubadou · 5:47 · Haitian Creole, French
"Dyaman Nan Bidonvil" places two images rarely paired in one title: a precious stone and a poor neighborhood. Zafem gives the idea five minutes and forty-seven seconds on 2023's Lalin Ak Solèy. The kompa carries twoubadou color, and the extended form lets Réginald Cangé's voice and Dener Céide's guitar tell without haste. The title alone announces a social contrast; the music treats that subject with dignity through a measured arrangement.
