LANMOU N KIDNAPE
by Klass · 2023 · kompa · 5:43 · Haitian Creole, French
“Lanmou N Kidnape” uses an image carrying grave weight in Haitian life to describe love taking people hostage. Klass published the official video in 2023, and the track runs beyond five and a half minutes under Richie’s orchestral discipline and Pipo’s voice. The band regularly makes relationships a subject of discussion while keeping the dance moving; this title brings those functions together immediately. The metaphor does not need to become a literal story. Its force comes from the feeling of lost control while the kompa continues with precision.
