Pale Pou Tet Ou
by Klass · 2018 · kompa · 6:03 · Haitian Creole
Speak for yourself: the title is an instruction, and the song spends six minutes on what it costs to follow it. Klass work here in grown-band form — broad arrangement, patient vocals, relationship writing about responsibility rather than desire — and the length is structural, not padding. Richie founded the band in 2012 after leaving Zenglen and built it on maestro discipline, tight parts and players who already knew the rules, with Pipo Stanis out front. That is audible in a track that never rushes a section and never lets one go slack either.
