Priyorite
by Klass · 2015 · kompa · 5:47 · Haitian Creole, French
Klass places “Priyorite” on its own channel in June 2015. The title asks for the top place on a list, not what remains after everything else. Across nearly six minutes, Pipo Stanis’s voice, Richie’s drums, keyboards, bass, and kompa discipline measure whether relationship words match actions. Calling someone a priority is easy; organizing time, attention, and loyalty around them is harder. Klass brings romantic questions into precise bal machinery. Here, arranging gives the declaration structure, as though the entire band must prove that the center truly remains the center.
