Grenadye Alaso! (Haiti World Cup Tribute)
by Michaël Brun · 2026 · dancehall · 2:23 · Haitian Creole
Grenadye Alaso! takes a national roots chant and turns it into a football signal and a piece of collective memory: Michaël Brun ties 1974 to 2026, Haiti's only two World Cup qualifications, inside two minutes twenty-three. The choice is clear — a chant already in people's mouths does not need introducing, it only needs an occasion. Brun has long worked at making Haitian sound audible on a global stage without sanding away its accent.
