Guava
by Naïka · 2022 · chanson · 2:51 · English, Haitian Creole, French
Naïka names "Guava" after a tropical fruit, and the 2022 official audio places that word inside her diaspora pop without lengthy explanation. The track belongs to TRANSITIONS, a project where food, body, desire, and life among cultures provide recurring images. Two minutes and fifty-one seconds keep the chanson brief and colorful. Cataloged Creole and French sit beside the English title, much as several languages and places regularly coexist across Naïka's work.
