Fèy (Live in Cabaret, Haiti)
by RAM · 2019 · rasin · 1:36 · Haitian Creole, French
One minute thirty-six. It is the shortest thing RAM has here, because it is a live capsule: the band in Cabaret, Haiti, playing Fèy in front of an audience. In a setting like that what shows is rasin and Haitian memory in their most direct form — no studio arrangement standing between the song and the people hearing it. RAM have been doing this work since 1990 at the Hotel Oloffson, and a short recording on the spot says more than a description can.
