Crush La feat. Wendyyy
by Vanessa Désiré · 2022 · kompa, rnb, rap-kreyol · 3:54 · Haitian Creole, French
Wendyyy joins Vanessa Désiré on "Crush La," a 2022 collaboration placing kompa, R&B, and Kreyol rap in one form. The title inserts the English word "crush" into a Creole phrase, as younger speech often mixes codes. Three minutes and fifty-four seconds give Vanessa's voice and Wendyyy's rap distinct spaces. Vanessa holds the melodic center while a major rap name enters without breaking the refrain's softness.
