"M Pap Ka Neye" uses the image of drowning to place a limit on what the voice can bear. Zafem gives the title five minutes and forty-three seconds on 2023's Lalin Ak Solèy, in an arrangement tagged kompa and twoubadou. Réginald Cangé carries phrases without haste, and Dener Céide's guitar answers instead of filling every gap. The length lets the idea grow slowly, as on much of an album where listening and dancing retain equal weight.
